and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
A Way Out !

who will not suffer you
to be tempted above that ye are able;

3.And Joab answered, The Lord make his people an hundred times so many more as they be:
but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? why then doth my lord require this thing?
why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel ?

when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14.And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth,
and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation;

lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.
7.And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations,
there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me,
lest I should be exalted above measure.
8.For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
